The link mentioned to flash 4.2.2 onto the N4 didn't work for me on my Macbook. I found a guide at this site. It worked perfect and I was able to download all of the proper tools. http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/how-to-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2010312

Then the command line commands on the template can also work for mac if fastboot is replaced with ./fastboot-mac and adb is replaced with ./adb-mac
